Patch: Pump Track Feasibility Study Approved In Tredyffrin
Tredyffrin Township supervisors voted unanimously Monday night (3/20/2023) to hire an engineering firm to conduct a feasibility study for a track at Mill Road.

TREDYFFRIN, PA — Tredyffrin supervisors on Monday night voted unanimously to hire Pennoni Engineering firm for $8,400 to conduct a feasibility study for a bike park at Mill Road Park.
Joseph DiRocco, assistant township manager and financial director, said the township study will be completed in three weeks.
Mill Road Park, 1400 Mill Road, is a 55.9-acre tract that has baseball and soccer fields.
Pennoni, based in West Chester, is expected to begin the project this week.
The study is being done in response to a request from a neighborhood group working with Arthur Zadrozny, a township resident in the Chesterbrook development, to build a pump park in the township.
To date, the group has raised $5,645 in a GoFundMe fundraiser for the first phase of the project.
Dominick “Dom” Pecora, an eighth-grader at Valley Forge Middle School and Ronald Lynch, a freshman at Conestoga High School, prepared a proposal for the bike park.
Supervisor David Miller thanked the township staff for being so Pump tracks are trending in suburban neighborhoods.
They allow riders to use an up-and-down pumping motion to propel the bike forward instead of pedaling. The tracks have hilly dirt inclines covering about a half to 1-acre.
Phoenixville is also in the process of building a bike skills park at Reservoir Park, 602 Franklin Ave.
